This series is such a fantastic series. It has everything you could hope for in a book. Tons of humor, lots a steam, kick ass characters, and a side of drama.
While I laughed a TON in this book, I also had moments where I was like "no, no,no, Logan!!", and I even spilled a few tears for Grace... and for Logan.
Logan's stuck between loyalty to his family and his own happiness, and he feels like he will lose Grace to his not so great future.
Thank goodness for those around him that truly care about his happiness.
Grace is a girl who seems to have her head on her shoulders for the most part. She starts off a bit as a doormat, but still incredibly funny, but she's hit with a fee lessons. When she does grow her lady balls, she's unstoppable.
Logan is determined to fix his Mistake, and I find him incredibly endearing.
This really is a feel good series, so far, and I give the entire series a 5 stars, this book, a 4.5.

I was wanting to read Logan's story when we first met him in The Deal, so I was excited to start this book.
Logan meets Grace when he knocks on the wrong dorm door. Grace is a little bit shy, a lot awkward and I absolutely adore that about her. Logan and Grace hang out that night and develop a "friend with benefits" type relationship.

Eventually, Grace decides she would like to offer more to Logan, at which time he makes "The Mistake". Grace is completely humiliated and feels taken advantage of.
Logan goes home and after a discussion, realizes his error and immediately tries to correct it, but Grace won't talk to him.
Since it is the end of the school year, Grace decides to go spend the majority of the summer with her mother in France.
Logan goes home for the summer to work in his father's auto shop and to help with his father.
Fast forward to the start of a new school year.

Logan is adamant that he is going to get Grace to understand his actions. Grace relents, but only if Logan completes six tasks.
I must say, some of those tasks were hilarious and had me laughing out loud. Logan and Grace spend time together, really getting to know one another.
Logan opens up to Grace a bit about his home life and his future, but believes Grace won't want a part of it....nearly making another mistake....but he makes another grand gesture, which was fantastic.
The last chapter makes me quite hopeful for Logan and his family's future. I really enjoyed the epilogue.

To get rid of that thing he has for her and also to avoid seeing them together, he parties like a rock star and sleeps around with every girl. But one night when he gets the wrong dorm changes everything for him.

Clearly our heroine, Grace, has her own thing for Logan. She's kind of crazy about him, actually. A chance encounter shows her a side of his not many see. Though he screws up badly quite a few times, her feelings don't change for him.
I liked how this story was told throughout the expanse of a few months, about six or so, and we get the good, the bad and the ugly. We get parts of Logan we haven't known about; Grace goes through her own changes. Logan's story is heartbreaking and you will just want to hold him in your arms and never let go.
In this part, friendships form and break. They re-connect, they bloom. Our characters rise and fall, making mistakes - yup, that's when the title makes sense - and regretting them, but repenting. This one's different than The Deal, I felt it was deeper, less funny but still good. I'm so curious about what is next! I have a hunch. We'll see.

As a book lover there is nothing better than reading a book and smiling from beginning to end. I loved everything about Logan and Grace, and if you need a book to make you laugh this will do the trick.
Grace has led a pretty boring life she is smart but also kind of predictable. The best part about her though is she is awkward and adorable. Hot guys turn her into a babbling mess and she doesn’t have a filter. Feeling the need to break out of her shell she lets her friend Ramona drag her to a party. Grace see Logan and is awestruck by him but the party ends and Grace just holds on to the brief encounter and goes back to life.
John Logan is a confused mess. As you know from The Deal Logan is convinced he is in love with his best friend’s girl. He is having a really hard time dealing with this, so to cope he spends his time boozing and screwing around. After a bad day and struggling to stay in the same space as Hannah and Garrett he leaves. Heading to a party he gets lost and ends up knocking on Grace’s door and asks for directions. After an awkward exchange she invites him in. Things happen and he leaves in a rush and this leaves Grace feeling meh about the situation. This leads to a few encounters and Logan making the MISTAKE.
I loved the path the author took Logan and Grace on to get together. Grace is very firm in her beliefs of right and wrong and sticks to them. After a summer apart and trying to heal her wounds she comes back to school determined to move on. Logan has spent a lonely summer trying to fix things but he is also dealing with family issues. The summer is what he needs to wake up, and after realizing what he has in Grace he WORKS FOR IT.

If you loved The Deal you will definitely love The Mistake. This is a great NA series sweet, sexy, and funny. Things are not rushed in these couples finding love and they go through a lot of growing pains to get their HEA.

The Mistake is the second book in a new adult series about college hockey players finding love. It is told in the POV of both the male and female leads. This book totally had me wrapped up in it's words.
It has the funny make out scenes.
Lots of LOL parts.
The chemistry between the couple is perfect. It feels so real. They play around and joke giving really cute scenes. They fight and love giving heart moments. It's all very believable and very well written.
I really like both main characters also. The lead female isn't a pushover. She has self-respect and a special combination of calm and fierceness. The male lead is a sexy and popular playboy, but inside he's just wanting to find a true relationship. He's honorable and trustworthy and so sweet. Their sarcastic sense of humor and playfulness mesh together perfectly.
The Mistake deals with hard issues too—the responsibility of family, the pain of having a loved one with an addiction problem, the sense of having to grow up and make tough decisions, the understanding to be oneself and not be led by friends.
The writing is fantastic. No scenes felt over played. I don't remember reading any of the words or phrases that make me cringe because of awkwardness or because they've become so overused. The words flowed smoothly and held my interest for the entire book.
