I kick a pebble across the sidewalk, then stand and rummage through my bag to fish out a jacket. It’s early spring and the region has been unseasonably warm, but tonight there’s a chilly breeze.

Not wanting to put my phone down, I awkwardly cradle it against my chin as I try slipping my arm through the sleeve. I almost have my other arm through when my phone breaks free and crashes against the ground.

I reach for it quickly; it’s my only lifeline right now. I must go for it at the same time someone else does, because our heads crack together with what feels like an ungodly force.

The guy manages to get the phone, while I stand and clamp my hand against my forehead, trying to get my bearings.

“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to...”

His voice trails off, either because I am severely concussed or because my stomach doing somersaults turned off blood flow to my brain. Because I’d know that voice anywhere. It’s whispered my name between kisses, yelled at me when I was being a little too stubborn. It’s comforted me when I was crying, and used to be my favorite sound in the world.

Until its owner used it to break up with me going on four years ago now.

He’s still gorgeous as ever, and the years since I’ve seen him have definitely been more than kind.

“Macy?” he asks, the confusion on his face melting into that crooked smile I used to dream about.

“Hi Beckett.”

What a cute quick read about second chance romance. Before returning to the states, Macy decides to spend some time in Paris only to literally run into someone she never thought she'd see again. What a great read. This is the first book from this author and she blew me away with this heartbreaking, sweet, and sooooo emotional second chance romance. Mila escapes back to her family lake home after her divorce with hopes of finding closure with her first love Ryder. She finds more than she ever expected and knows that she will never be the same. So many years wasted over a hate for something and someone that never should have been. Devastating losses have plagued Mila and Ryder for too many years, and now it's critical to them make up for lost time and focus on the future. 5 stars

Hush is my introduction to the writings of both Anne Malcom and BT Urruela, and hopefully not my last. Excellent writing style, the story keeps up a good pace with so many twists and turns you can't help but get a little excited for the next page. Hush is a dark read with several triggers in relation to child abduction, sex trafficking, PTSD and rape. Within it's brutality and raw pain comes Orion's strength to persevere and fight back and exact her revenge on those who destroyed her life. 4 Stars

At an early age he began writing short stories having been inspired by reading books authored by RL Stein. His maternal grandmother's bookshelf was filled with literature that inspired his young mind and cultivated his vivid imagination.

Upon graduation from high school his desire to have a 20-year military career was cut drastically short by an improvised explosive device. Taking the life of his commander, and leaving the remaining four team members badly wounded.

After careful consideration and multiple surgeries, he along with the guidance of his doctors made the decision to amputate. It was the only surgery he ever left with a smile on his face, as if a weight had been lifted. He struggled for two more years through 4-5 hours of physical therapy a day, five days a week to get adapted to his new prosthetic. He medically retired from the Army with high hopes. His focus on restoring his physical shape being the most eminent battle caused him to neglect his psychological state.

Meeting people was difficult and there were very few options for veterans to utilize that would stimulate friendship, and ultimately, allow communication barriers to be breached. After moving to Tampa, Florida, he co-founded the veteran community sports nonprofit, VETSports, with two other combat wounded veterans. It was their mission to change the way veterans transitioned back to civilian life through organized team sports, community involvement, and leadership opportunities.

After being invited to attend a photoshoot with acclaimed photographer Michael Stokes, he flew to California in December of 2014, with incredible excitement. His photos were so widely publicized that he soon gained exposure to the literary world like he'd always dreamed of. That opportunity launched him into his present writing career. He co-wrote the novel 'A Lover's Lament with author KL Grayson. The following year he released first solo novel, 'Into the Nothing' and will be releasing Wicked Little Words with author Stevie J. Cole. He is now writing full-time.

Amelia and Adam’s story begins with the current trend of “Stranger Photo Shoots” where two strangers agree to meet and participate in a steamy photo session…perfect plot for a book right? Instant chemistry ignites when these two “strangers” meet on a seemingly normal Saturday morning. By the end of the day, they have fallen hard for each other and cannot keep their feelings in, sparking the beginning of what will be a beautiful love story. Along with all the flirting, witty banter, and sarcasm lies a hint of danger and suspense bringing back a few of our favorite alpha characters. LLV manages to weave all of her current and past characters into her story so brilliantly. As always there is a HEA and so many steamy and heartfelt scenes that you feel the need to read this book in one sitting. I cannot wait for the next installment as LLV NEVER disappoints. 5 stars.
