Marriage of Inconvenience, an all new romantic comedy standalone in the USA Today bestselling, Knitting in the City Series by Penny Reid, is available NOW!

There are three things you need to know about Kat Tanner (aka Kathleen Tyson. . . and yes, she is *that* Kathleen Tyson): 1) She’s determined to make good decisions, 2) She must get married ASAP, and 3) She knows how to knit.
Being a billionaire heiress isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, it sucks. Determined to live a quiet life, Kat Tanner changed her identity years ago and eschewed her family’s legacy. But now, Kat’s silver spoon past has finally caught up with her, and so have her youthful mistakes. To avoid imminent disaster, she must marry immediately; it is essential that the person she chooses have no romantic feelings for her whatsoever and be completely trustworthy.
Fortunately, she knows exactly who to ask. Dan O’Malley checks all the boxes: single, romantically indifferent to her, completely trustworthy. Sure, she might have a wee little crush on Dan the Security Man, but with clear rules, expectations, and a legally binding contract, Kat is certain she can make it through this debacle with her sanity—and heart—all in one piece.
Except, what happens when Dan O’Malley isn’t as indifferent—or as trustworthy—as she thought?
Excerpt:
Staring at his chin, because I couldn’t quite lift my eyes any higher, I cleared my throat. “Should we get ready for bed?” “Sure,” he said, his voice a rumble. Dan’s eyes were on me, I felt the weight of them. My hands came to the hem of my skirt and I hesitated, feeling winded for some reason. Sneaking a glance at him, I immediately wished I hadn’t. His gaze was watchful, but it was also unmistakably hot in a way that seemed at once both avaricious and accusatory. The vice tightened around my lungs. Kiss him! Just freaking kiss him! You want numbered steps? Fine. You kiss him- check. He kisses you back- check. Then you make out- check. Check the boxes. I licked my lips, balling my hands into fists at my sides again, preparing to follow my hasty list. But then he said, “Undress me.” My breath caught. On instinct, my eyes lifted and collided with his in much the same way our bodies had collided at the top of the stairs just moments ago. Jarring. Startling. Thrilling. This time I couldn’t look away because this time I was falling. He made no move to catch me. “What? What did you say?” His eyes narrowed, which served only to increase the intensity of his gaze from smolder to inferno. “Take my clothes off.” I stared at him, licking my lips again, and shaking my head. That wasn’t one of my steps. Lifting my chin, I moved to kiss him. He leaned to the side, evading me even as his eyes dropped to my mouth. “Take off my shirt and I’ll give you a kiss.” He’d used his naughty-secret voice. An explosion of heat erupted in my belly, and now I was hot all over. I couldn’t figure out if the heat was embarrassment or arousal or both. He didn’t give me a chance to figure it out. His hands lifted and he undid his cuffs; then they moved to the top button of his shirt. “You better take over,” he said darkly, “or else you’re not getting that kiss.”

Finally, we get the story of Dan and Kat. These two crazy kids have been secretly pining for each other for ages. To avoid her crazy cousin taking over the family business and committing her Kat must marry. Kat cannot imagine asking Dan. Her crush is too huge. It would just be too much to be around him. However, desperation gets the best of her and she goes to Dan for help.

Unbeknownst to Kat, Dan’s crush is just as big. He jumps in without hesitation when she asks him to marry her. Just tell him when and where and he will be there. Dan has been smitten with Kat since Vegas. Marrying her is a clear shot to be close to her. Once these two realize the feelings are mutual, it is game on.

Marriage of Inconvenience was a fabulous conclusion to the Knitting series. If you did not already love Dan, you are going to fall head over heels for him. I adored his patience with Kat. Kat felt her baggage was too big. Dan knew what they could have together would be worth it.
Dan and Kat’s journey was sweet, sexy, and romantic. These two were perfect for each other. I am sad it is the end of the road for the Knitting crew but it was worth the ride. Well Done!

Dan, Dan, Dan....what more needs to be said? Dan the Security Man is awesome in this book. We've seen bits of Dan here and there, always seeming to blend into the background, but also always available when need be. Kat has also kind of always been in the background; we don't really know much about her, other than she's friends with all the knitting ladies and she's very quiet and keeps to herself. Kat and Dan have both been secretly pining for each other for the past several years...and I'm fairly certain everyone sees it but the two of them.

We learn fairly quickly that Kat is an billionaire heiress, who has a weaselly cousin and he's trying to take over Kat's life. Kat needs to marry quickly to avoid being controlled by her cousin and Dan agrees to help her out. After some funny moments at the Courthouse, a long held misunderstanding between them is cleared up and boom, we're off to the races.

I loved, loved, loved how Dan was so patient with Kat as she navigated her new roles. He understood what he was working towards and that it was worth the effort and rewards at the end. His declaration to Kat was probably one of my favorite ever, just because it absolutely how he would say it. Kat was in her head a bit, but not to the point of distraction. Despite the fact that she needs to work on herself, she's a strong character. She doesn't let her perceived flaws rule her life too much.

I loved everything about this story. I'm just sad that it's the last in the series.

SHANDA 4.5 stars

Man that was good! Jewel Ann is one of those authors I can sign up for the book with no blurb. I know each time I pick up one of her stories, it will be original and nothing like her previous books.

Transcend was such a creative and beautiful story. It is reminiscent of the Jack and Jill series in the fact that you get more than one story in the book. Swayze and her love Griffin. Nate and his past loves and loss. Nate’s new love with his baby girl. Morgan Daisy’s story, which is still a mystery.

I really cannot say anymore, as I do not want to spoil. Transcend is one of those books you should really go in blind with. It will definitely take you on a wild ride. I cannot wait to get my hands on Epoch. My eyes were bugging out of my head at the end. I have some theories on Swayze. I am not 100% sure Nate is correct with what he thinks is going on with Swayze. I want to see how Ms. Ann plays out the rest of her story.

Well Done!

Jewel E. Ann has become one of those authors whose writing I gravitate towards. Her stories have such great depths and you never know how the story will play out.

Transcend is another winner. Swayze Samuels senses and knows things about certain people she meets; it's not everyone and she doesn't understand why she's the way she is. She has a fantastic boyfriend, Griffin, who would do just about anything for her. Although Griffin is a bit skeptical of Swayze's "abilities", he supports her as best he can, while still worrying about what it means.

She meets Professor Nathaniel Hunt as she's leaving her therapist's office. She immediately begins talking to him as if she knows him and eventually realizes that she's effectively freaking him out. Things get odder when she shows up at his house the next day to interview for a nanny position; she comes up with story to cover her familiarity from the previous day. Nate eventually comes to realization about how Swayze can know things about him; I'm not certain that his supposition is correct, but I guess we really won't know until the next book.

I'm intrigued by how this will play out. Will justice be served with Swayze's ability? What exactly is she capable of? How will all the interpersonal relationships play out? The ending of this book has me hoping that Epoch will be in my hands soon so I can have the answers I so anxiously await.

Law & Beard ~ Lani Lynn Vale

Title: Law & Beard
Series: The Dixie Warden Rejects MC #8
Author: Lani Lynn Vale
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: March 8, 2018
Photographer: Furious Fotog Cover Model: Joe Adams
Winnie thinks she has the perfect life. Two beautiful, healthy children. A police officer husband. A job that she loves. Oh, and let’s not forget that she’s a nationally ranked marathon runner. Fast forward six months, and her perfect life has imploded. Winnie finds herself in a completely new world, and this new world is a brutal bitch. In this new life of hers, her husband is gone. He realizes, at the worst possible time, that he’s no longer in love with her. He’s in love with her best friend. So he leaves, and doesn’t look back. Her sixteen-year-old daughter is in trouble with the law, and she’s barely making ends meet thanks to losing the job that was keeping her and her tiny family afloat. Then, the last thing that could make it all bearable, her running, is ripped out from under her, too. Thanks to a spinal stroke that leaves her unable to walk, let alone run, she’s having to relearn how to do the simplest of tasks—such as putting on her own pants. She’s at the lowest of lows, and the last thing she wants is a sexy, bearded, motorcycle riding alpha to tell her how to live her life. But Steel Cross never asks her what she wants. *** The moment Steel Cross sees Winnie’s daughter steal some shoes for her younger brother, he knows he’s in trouble. He’s a sucker for misunderstood teens. After all, he was once one himself. He knows he can’t just walk away, and the moment he sees that troubled teen’s mother, he doesn’t just know it, he feels it. Down to the very bottom of his soul. With his share of hard knocks, he knows that he shouldn’t step in and make his move on a fellow police officer’s ex. There’s a code, after all, yet he just can’t seem to help himself. He’s done being the good guy. Sometimes he just wants to be bad. And Winnie makes him realize that being bad is still kind of good. As long as you’re with the right person.

He loves it when you call him Big Papa, but only Winnie gets to call him Steel.  I always wonder when one of LLV’s books is going to make me think…hmmm, is this going to be too much like a previous book?  I can 100% say that will NEVER happen and Law & Beard proves it beyond compare.  I personally prefer my men younger...but Steel Cross has made me a silver fox fiend.  He is full on alpha male and not what Winnie needs in her life right now.  He is a cop, her cheating ex-husband is a cop, he is the Chief of Police, and her ex’s boss…this doesn’t spell trouble right?  The ex ends up being the least of their worries, and watching their lives unfold with so many twists and turns kept me flipping pages with excited anticipation.  Can two jaded souls find their happily ever after?  Is their bond strong enough to face what the future holds?  This story will definitely make you believe in second chances.  I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review. *5 stars*

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 8, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
