Synopsis:
I fell in love once.
It was amazing. She was amazing. Life was amazing.
I lived for each time I could see her, and nothing else mattered, not that our families were enemies, our time together was forbidden, or we had to meet in secret.
Our love could conquer all.
Until it didn’t.
So I was ripped away from the love of my life and shoved into hell, forced to continue without her.
It shattered me, broke the best parts of me, left me permanently damaged.
Or so I thought.
Years later, I swear history’s trying to repeat itself because she’s back in my life, and I’m just as drawn to her as I was before. But I’m older and wiser now, and I know she should stay away from a worthless piece of ex-con like me.
So, I will not let her in. I absolutely refuse to hurt her. I will keep her away.
Then again, sometimes risking your greatest fear to get to a smile makes everything worth it, and besides, I’m not sure I can resist her, anyway.
This is the story of how Felicity Bainbridge changed my life forever, starting one summer day long ago after I was forced to change a dirty diaper…

REVIEW
First of all I would like to say I am a sucker for a beautiful book cover and Worth It is gorgeous. Worth It is the story of Knox Parker and Felicity Bainbridge, two kids raised in different worlds. Knox is the boy from the wrong side of the tracks and Felicity is the good girl from a prestigious family. Knox and Felicity are raised to believe they are enemies but after meeting, friendship blooms and soon after they fall in love. This was a great tale of star-crossed lovers who are forced apart at a young age and reunite as adults.
The story is told in alternating chapters, past and present. I did enjoy reading about the young Knox and Felicity; they had a sweet and cute romance. I was getting anxious by the mid-point wanting the story to speed up here so I could get more of them in the present. It really is my only slight disappointment with the story as I wish the author would have wrapped the past up sooner. By doing this it made the ending rushed, the author spent a lot of time building the story and then bam.

The events that separated Knox and Felicity were not unexpected considering they were a modern day Romeo and Juliet, without the tragic end. But the most heartbreaking part was what happened to Knox in the years they were split apart. It was horrific and made my heart hurt. I am glad Felicity pushed and fought for Knox so they could have the life they wanted.
I am a big fan of the Forbidden series. I am excited to get Asher’s story next and that teaser at the end was pretty great. Good Job!
