COVER REVEAL – FIELD TRIPPED by Nicole Archer

Field-Tripped

Release Date: October 30, 2017
A new standalone holiday romance from Nicole Archer.

I was done with games. But playing with her is so much fun.
Ten years ago, I was all set to compete in the winter Olympics. Then I lost everything—my career, my best friend, and my girlfriend.
After that, I stopped playing games for good. I swore never to go back to Colorado. Too many bad memories. Plus, she’s still there.
Now I live a simple life as a creative director at Shimura Advertising in New York. All is good, until my boss cons me and my coworkers into spending two weeks in Colorado at Proton Sports’ sleep-away camp for adults, pitching their business. Turns out Proton’s idea of a pitch is making the agencies battle each other in a bunch of ridiculous winter games.
Guess who owns the rival company? Her. And she’s out to get me. I might just let her win.

REVIEW BLITZ - THE LEARNING HOURS by SARA NEY

He’s not a douchebag;
but that doesn’t stop his friends from
turning him into one.

MY FRIENDS WANT ME TO GET LAID. So much so that they plastered my ugly mug all over campus, in bold printed letters: Are you the lucky lady who’s going to break our roommate’s cherry? Him: socially awkward man with average-sized penis looking for willing sexual partner. You: must have pulse. Text him at: 555-254-5551 The morons can’t even spell. And the texts I’ve been receiving are what wet dreams are made of. But I’m not like these douchebags, no matter how hard they try to turn me into one. THIS ISN’T THE KIND OF ATTENTION I WANT. One text stands out from hundreds. One number I can’t bring myself to block. She seems different. Hotter, even in black and white.   However, after seeing her in person, I know she’s not the girl for me. But my friends won’t let up—they just don't get it. Douchebags or not, there's one thing they'll never understand: GIRLS DON’T WANT ME. Especially her.

SHANDA'S 5 STAR REVIEW

The Learning Hours was hands down my favorite in this series. The author has asked that we don’t spoil who the characters are so this hard to review. I will say that the hero is very different from the first two books in this series. He has a hard time getting girls and is completely clueless. His lack of self-confidence makes it hard for him to understand a girl wanting him. I adored him and was rooting for him.

I was not sure that I would like the heroine right up front but she quickly grew on me. On the surface she seems vain and full of herself. She quickly reveals that she is wanting more and is willing to dig deep to find it. This is a great story of beauty being in the eye of the beholder. That if you get to know someone without the vanity involved you start to become really turned on by all of the things a person has to offer.

I really loved all the moments of discovery for both characters in this book. The excitement and shock our hero experienced when he made headway with the heroine. And the joy and awe the heroine felt every time she discovered something more about the hero she liked. It made my heart warm.

I wish I could say more or had better words but it is hard to explain without giving stuff away. But if you like stories with an unconventional hero, bit of sweet romance, and great sexual tension you will enjoy this. For me this was just one of those books that I flew through and had a smile on my face all the way to the end.

He’s seated at a table in the far corner when I spot him from the door. He’s not hard to miss—not with his purple t-shirt in a sea of black and yellow, and wavy mussed hair. He’s slouching, hunched over his table. Defeated. Tired. My stomach rolls with nerves, nerves that have me rooted to the spot in the doorway, watching him. Just watching. For the entire four minutes I stand here, he sits immobile, studying his laptop, eyes moving along the screen, completely transfixed by whatever he’s reading. Learning. “Just go over there,” I whisper to myself, blowing out a puff of pent-up air. I put one foot in front of the other and begin toward him, spine ramrod straight, steeling myself, prepared for another argument. Twenty feet. Fifteen. Eight. Two. “Hi.” No reply. “Do you mind if I sit here?” I lay my hand on the back of the wooden chair across from him, intending to pull it out. He stiffens but doesn’t lift his head. “Yes I mind.” “Would you mind if I sat at the table next to you?” I’m pushing his buttons, looking for a reaction, but he only spares me a brief glance. Shrugs. “Free country.” I bite my lip to hide a smile, glad he didn’t tell me to take a hike...

COVER REVEAL - THE CRACKS DUET by L.H. Cosway

COVER REVEAL

THE CRACKS DUET BY L.H. COSWAY

COMING NOVEMBER 2017

So,hypothetical scenario. An alien species comes to earth, but we share no common language. We can only communicate through pictures and sounds. At first, they see our art, hear our music, gaze upon our sacred lands and they’re dazzled by the beauty. But then, as they explore deeper, they see all the stuff we’d prefer to hide; the pain, the cruelty, the pointless wars.
If you were one of the aliens, would you let us live or wipe us out?
Heavy question, I know, but I didn’t always think this way. Life used to be simple. I was a typical city girl with small dreams that were big enough for her. Then I met Dylan O’Dea. He changed how I saw the world, opened my eyes.
For him, the sky was always falling. I guess that was why he achieved so many great things. The constant fear of catastrophe was an excellent motivator. It’s kind of poetic that he came back to me 16 minutes and 59 seconds into Beethoven’s Symphony no. 7.
Dylan showed me the crack in everything. How our world is a contradiction of beauty and ugliness. How we choose to ignore the awful and gloss over it with the palatable. How you need just a tiny drop of something unsavoury to create every great scent.
Pretty deep for a pair of teenagers living in a block of council flats in inner city Dublin, right? Probably. But that wouldn’t always be our lot. We’d part ways, cross oceans and come together again. Dylan would create perfumes adored by women across the globe and I would be the one who first showed him the magic of flowers.
My name is Evelyn Flynn and I’m going to tell you about the cracks.

Release Blitz ~ Hail No ~ Lani Lynn Vale

Title: Hail No
Series: Hail Raisers #1
Author: Lani Lynn Vale
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release: September 27, 2017

Evander Lennox doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do. At least, that is, until he’s sent to prison. The four years he’s incarcerated, he’s had no choice but to do the things that he’s asked to do, when he’s asked to do them. And now, if he doesn’t, it will mean a one-way ticket straight back to hell.
Once he’s free, it takes him twenty-four hours to get his old job back, his dog at home where he belongs, and an understanding that people aren’t as forgiving as he once thought them to be. He’s just about given up hope of ever integrating back into society when a woman slams into his heart, literally and figuratively.  *** Kennedy Swallow just wants to belong somewhere. When she was younger, her parents divorced, and chose to separate her from her twin. Fast forward fifteen years, and she’s finally getting to meet the family she’s always wanted to be a part of. To make that happen, she uproots her life and moves to the tiny town of Hostel, Texas—giving her almost everything she’s ever wanted. Just when she thinks she’s making progress in winning her family over, she finds out that her twin is ill, and the only reason her family tolerates her is due to the convenience of having a free caretaker whenever they might be in need of one. After a few eye-opening experiences, she quickly realizes that she’s being used. Vowing to herself that she’ll make the best of the situation, she begins to steel her heart. What she doesn’t prepare for is a man named Evander who sees that barrier as a challenge. *** It takes Evander all of ten seconds while watching the woman on the floor, bleeding from her jaw, to realize that maybe life isn’t as bad as it could be. This woman with her thrill for life, a crazy obsession with chickens, and a desire to be wanted, changes everything he thinks he knows. But it doesn’t take long for him to realize that just by being around her, the people of the town have judged her guilty by association. Her business suffers, and soon after, she realizes what it will mean to have him by her side—the loss of everything she’s worked so hard for. Kennedy knows that Evander is worth it. Evander, however, decides that he’s not letting another person get hurt because he was stupid enough to care.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review

When you read the dedication for a book and find that it's been dedicated to chickens....you know! You just know!

I'm trying to figure out if this author is writing more deeply emotionally charged books or if I'm just becoming weak; it has to be the first option. But seriously, I think I cried through half of this book!! If it wasn't for what Kennedy's sister was dealing with, it was how everyone was treating Kennedy. Or Evander and his past. Or them damn chickens!!
Evander (or as I was reading in my head through most of the book, E-vader) did a stint in prison for a crime he didn't commit. So now that he's out you can place a sure bet that he wants his pound of flesh. Kennedy, who was dealt a rather bad hand from the genetic deck of cards at birth just wants some normalcy and sense of family in her life. But family doesn't always play nice together. So instead she sets her sights on Evander and all that is broken with him to find the closeness she craves. I'm not going to get into details about the storyline because I'm sure if you're this far you've already read the blurb about the book and it's intrigued you. Let it continue to intrigue you. To the point of purchasing it. I liked it a lot. Even through the tears :'(

I rate it 5 chickens!! (Buy the book; you'll understand)

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.
