Series: Men at Work
Release Date: September 20th 2016

Synopsis

Trick…or wicked treat!

It was a devastating dirty trick—Joey Silvia just found out her boyfriend of two years is married. What. A. Dick. Joey knows her best chance to get over one guy is to get under another. Of course, heading home to her family's remote cabin in Oregon poses some challenges in the "available men" department…until she discovers this cabin comes with its own hot handyman!

Holy crap, Chris Steffensen. When did her brother's best friend turn into a hard-bodied pile of blond-bearded hotness? He's the perfect Halloween treat—and a surprisingly dirty rebound guy. For a couple of weeks, anyway. Except that Chris has other ideas…like proving to Joey that this blast from the past is a whole lot more than a naughty Halloween hookup.

Review by Iza

This book was the best surprise! I've only read one other book by Ms. Reisz, The Bourbon Thief and it was so different from this one, but both are really good; I love them

This one is funny. It's a really good romantic comedy with only a bit of drama and really hot scenes; I'm talking scenes that make you fan yourself.

Our heroine, Joey has been dating a boss from her company - not her direct boss, so no cliche there - and found out he was married, when she went to surprise him in LA. That didn't work out so well, so she went home, for her brother's wedding. But since she got there sooner than she should have, she found herself face-to-face with a very hot, lumbersexual handyman that happened to be her brother's best friend. And hers. One she'd lost touch with and haven't seen in a decade. And boy, was he a nice surprise!

I like that it's not insta-love but also not a slow burn. It's right in between. They come to a mutual agreement of simply blowing off some steam, but of course that it becomes more - I can't blame Joey, Chris, our hero, is the perfect guy - and Joey gets scared. Don't worry, it all works out.

The banter between them had me laughing so much!

"Don't make me laugh while you're fucking me. I once laughed a guy right out of my vagina."

Or...

"Caught between a cock and a hard place, aren't you? You poor thing."

The side characters were just as well-written, adding that extra something to the story. Joey's best friend was a hoot! So was her brother.

"I'd break a nose for you, JoJo."
"I'd break a nose for you, too, KiKi."
"Don't call me that."
"You called me JoJo."

Needless to say, it's a book everyone should read. I'm giving 5 stars and want to thank the publishers for the copy given in exchange for my honest review. My pleasure!

Author Bio

Tiffany Reisz lives on Mt. Hood in Oregon in her secret volcanic lair with her husband (author Andrew Shaffer) and two cats (one good, one evil).

If she couldn’t write, she would die. Probably in a volcano eruption.
