I wasn’t sure what I was expecting when I started this book. I had seen other people’s comments about this story making them cry and what not. I thought to myself “How bad could it be?” Well after reading the book, which I could not put down I came to realize it was worse than I thought, and not in a bad way.
This book had my emotions all over the place. From being irritated, pissed off, happy and content right down to WTF are you kidding me (and yes that is an emotion in my book).
The story starts off with Ava and Luke (I’m going to try not to give away any spoilers but not promises). Ava has been in love with Luke for as long as she can remember. It’s kind of the typical parents are best friends scenario so they spend a lot of time together. When Ava is first introduced to us for me she came off as living in a dream world. She had her whole life planned out, going to school, where she would work and of course the person she would marry and have a family with.
Then we are introduced to Luke, now I won’t lie my first impression of him he screamed douchebag. I wasn’t his biggest fan and I’m still not. I know he probably has his reasons for being the way he is but since MJ hasn’t given those to us (bad MJ) he will remain in that category.
Then we meet T, and let me just say I love T. He’s sweet and funny and of course since he’s a guy somewhat of an idiot. But let me just say I am definitely team T. I know that everything happens for a reason and I wasn’t happy with how things turned out between Ava and T, simply because I’m scared to see what’s going to happen in the next book. I know it won’t turn out the way I want to, but I know I’ll keep reading just to see some people hopefully redeem themselves.
