~My Review~
If you haven't read Fading first please do so, I highly recommend it before starting Falling.
I was touched, moved and cried when I read Candace's story in Fading but holy bajeebuz was Ryan's POV even more powerful and touching. Maybe it was like that for me because I already knew the back story but to read what he was thinking and going through at certain times was gut wrenching. I had to stop reading several times to blink away my tears since I have a very bad habit of reading at work and letting my emotions get the better of me.
Not only do we get to see Ryan's POV on what he goes through with Candace but we also get to see a deeper and loving connection that he has with his mom, his cousin and his friends. Also, we get a glimpse into his horrid past which will leave you feeling nauseous and will make you understand why he was the way he was before he met Candace.
We see his transformation from being someone who is lost/numb to everything around him, to wanting to change his lifestyle and to the man that will do anything for the one girl who has him Falling for her. I fell in love with Ryan in Fading and I didn't think that I could fall even more in love with him but I did. My heart ached when he was hurting, I had tears of my own when he finally broke down, I felt deflated and lost when Candace finds out about his secret and my heart was on the brink of bursting with joy, love and happiness at the end.
