SYNOPSIS
With a seven-year age difference, Ryke & Daisy have faced an uphill battle in the eyes of the world and their families. Known as the most adventurous, fast-paced couple — their next step has always been elusive to the rabid media.
Behind the scenes, heartbreaking troubles continue to test Ryke & Daisy’s resilience and shape their future together.
They promise:
To never slow down.
To never compromise who they are.
To never abandon their love for each other.
But preserving their happiness also means adding more risks. Ones that Connor Cobalt wouldn’t even take. As a professional free-solo climber, Ryke is no stranger to risk, but his next step with Daisy wagers more than just his health.
With their lives on the line, Ryke & Daisy head towards the vast, wild unknown in this epic final conclusion to the Addicted series.
***Authors' Note***
It's possible to only read the Calloway Sisters spin-off series without reading the Addicted series, but you MUST read Fuel the Fire (Calloway Sisters #3) before reading Long Way Down (Calloway Sisters #4).
It's highly recommended to read the books in the recommended reading order, which is in tangent with the Addicted series.

4.5 STARS
I have to say this series will go down as one of my all time favorites EVER! Anyone that knows me will tell you I don’t re-read books, but this is a series I would read again. I would especially listen on audio as I feel like I am with the characters somehow. This series has some of the best character development I have ever read in fiction. Over the course of 9 books the couples and the side characters have grown so much but at their core they are still the same. I can’t explain how much I love them. I will never have anything in common with these people, they are rich, famous, and live life in a way I would never understand. Throughout it all the Ritchie’s have written unique characters with relatable issues.
Long Way Down is Ryke and Daisy’s final book. The story is filled with so much heartbreak for both of them. But with their family and staying strong as a couple they make it through. Daisy finally figures out who she is and what she wants out of life, and Ryke deals with his own losses and gains in this story.
I will say I felt a bit shortchanged in a few areas. I didn’t understand the Cleo and Harper side-plot, I was waiting for a big bang on this and it didn’t go anywhere. The lack of development between Ryke and Willow bothered me. Knowing the kind of man Ryke is I didn’t understand the lack of bonding here. I really wanted more for them. I wanted more between Ryke and Connor. In Fuel the Fire I really felt they were coming to a sort of friendship, but in LWD it went back to a little more hostility. Yes they have a moment later in the book but it wasn’t enough for me. I wanted more with Jonathan and Ryke. I am not saying I wanted them to be besties and lovey dovey but I expected a little more development here. And lastly the writing felt a bit different in this book and I’m not sure why. FYI, Fuel the Fire is hands down the Ritchie’s best writing.
That being said my favorite moments in the book outweighed most of the slights I felt. I am going to list a few (but I have many more) of my favorites but some may be slightly spoilery.
1. Proposal *sigh*
2. Wedding and Vows * another big sigh*
3. The moments between Ryke and Daisy with her medical issue. There is no better BBF than Ryke Meadows. He will stand by you and fight for you to the end and he always wants the best for Daisy.
4. Lo and Ryke in the hospital
5. Connor and Ryke in the hospital
6. Jonathon and Ryke in the hospital
7. Ryke and Sully………………that whole climbing scene. GAH!
8. Daisy and Lo in the car with Connor. GUTTED!!
9. Jonathan Hale in the courtroom
10. Momma Calloway's toast.
11. The description of the TIME magazine cover. AMAZING!
12. The epilogue! LWD has one the best series ending epilogues ever and it gave me the FEELS. And it made me more anxious for the LIKE US series.
I am really dying for the extended epilogue book Some Kind of Perfect. The most important thing I want out of that is the event between Ryke, Daisy, Connor, and Rose. I need that in detail and I hope we get it. I am so excited to get more detail from that 10 year span from all of the characters. Again this is a fabulous series and I am so glad I invested my time in it. Well done!
