Blog Tour, Giveaway & Exclusive Interview ~ The Enforcer by Kele Moon

The Enforcer Blog Tour and Giveaway

They are the lost boys.
Sons of mafia mistresses expected to keep their fathers’ sins in the shadows.
The lucky ones are forgotten.
Unfortunately for Valentino “Tino” Moretti, his brother Nova was too smart to be forgotten, and too valuable to risk when he resists a life of crime.
So they punished Tino instead.
Forced into the cruel world of the Sicilian Mafia at twelve, Tino was broken before he was old enough to know the man he was supposed to be.
Now he’s what the mafia made him.
The enforcer.
A trained killer forbidden to love, but he did anyway.
He loved Brianna all along.
Raw and beautiful, their romance was all consuming and far too dangerous.
They were ripped apart a long time ago.
It’s not until the borgata tries to put out a hit on her that Brianna falls back into Tino’s arms, churning up their dark past and unraveling all the Moretti brothers’ closely guarded secrets.
This isn’t the end of the story.
It’s only the beginning and it is brutal.
There’s a reason enforcers are considered too deadly to love.

“We have to be better than them. Stronger. Faster. Smarter. Lost boys have to fly.” ~Carlo Moretti, original lost boy.

Excerpt
Brianna stepped back when she saw Tino staring at her.
Her cheeks flamed with embarrassment.
She glanced away from Tino still spread out on the couch, thighs apart, cock straining against his jeans, with his washboard abs, broad chest, and thick biceps all on display. His full lips were illuminated in the moonlight from the glass windows showing off the six-million-dollar Midtown view Moretti money afforded Carina.
He was a fantasy come to life, and she would have to be dead not to look, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t mortified to be caught. “Y-you were talking in your sleep,” she lied. “I was checking to see if you were okay.”
“I wasn’t sleeping.”
His voice had a rough edge to it that gave Brianna goose bumps. Still she avoided looking at him as she argued, “You made a sound. You were dreaming.”
Tino quirked an eyebrow at her. “I knew you were watching.”
“Oh.” She closed her eyes when she realized that low groan and the arch of his hips were for her benefit. “You wanted to embarrass me. You succeeded. So congratulations.” She didn’t know if she was angrier with Tino or herself. “I’m going back to bed.”
She turned to leave, but he called out, “I’ll let you watch. If that’s your thing…I’ll do it.”
Brianna turned back to him with wide eyes, because she really couldn’t believe he meant what it sounded like he meant.
Who would do that?
Tino stared at her, unblinking, bedroom eyes hooded and dark in the moonlight. “Is it your thing?”
“Is what my thing?” Her voice was raspy with fear and desire. Her heartbeat was thundering, and the ache between her thighs was overwhelming. “Watch what, exactly?”
“Watch me jerk off thinking about you,” he said without even flinching. Then he cupped himself through his jeans like he had before when she thought he was sleeping, and arched his hips up. “Want it?”
She felt hypnotized by him and the raw sexuality that was choking the air out of the living room. She nodded silently, her gaze on his hand and the way he grabbed himself.
“Yeah,” she said, not sure if she shocked him more or herself when she admitted, “I want it.”
He raised his eyebrows skeptically, making it obvious she surprised him, but he pulled at the button to his jeans anyway. “You sure?”
Brianna looked to the opened fly, the zipper sliding down from the strain of his cock pressing against it. She nodded again. “I’m sure.”
Maybe she just wanted to know she could meet him halfway.
There was such a hard, deadly air to Tino now. Life made him feral, and no matter how beautiful he was, touching him now was dangerous, but she still wanted it…desperately.
He forced the zipper the rest of the way down, still watching her intently, making Brianna very aware of the spaghetti-strap nightgown she wore. The way his gaze ran over her body had her realizing the city lights behind her caused the thin blue material to be see-through. He stopped and stared at the V of her nightgown, unapologetically eyeing her tits.
“Scared?”

Brianna’s nipples had tightened, and Tino noticed because he missed nothing. She folded her arms over her chest and shifted where she stood.
“Yes. A little,” she admitted and looked toward the closed door to Carina’s room. “Aren’t you?”
“Nope.” Tino pushed his jeans down to prove his point, exposing a pair of tight blue designer briefs that made him look like an underwear model.
Brianna knew he was big, but seeing the way his cock filled out those briefs, curving to the left and nearly pushing past the waistband, had her gripping at her grandmother’s cross around her neck simply because she needed to do something with her hands.
He actually went so far as to kick off his jeans and push the blanket to the floor, leaving himself vulnerable to Carina or Paco walking out. More so, putting himself on display for Brianna, and she couldn’t help but ask, “Aren’t you embarrassed?”
He cupped himself again. “Do I look like I have something to be embarrassed about?”
“No.” Brianna shook her head.

About The Author

A freckle-faced redhead born and raised in Hawaii, Kele Moon has always been a bit of a sore thumb and has come to enjoy the novelty of it. She thrives on pushing the envelope and finding ways to make the impossible work in her story telling. With a mad passion for romance, she adores the art of falling in love. The only rules she believes in is that, in love, there are no rules and true love knows no bounds.

So obsessed is she with the beauty of romance and the novelty of creating it, she’s lost in her own wonder world most of the time. Thankfully she married her own dark, handsome, brooding hero who has infinite patience for her airy ways and attempts to keep her grounded. When she leaves her keys in the refrigerator or her cell phone in the oven, he’s usually there to save her from herself. The two of them now reside in Florida with their three beautiful children, who make their lives both fun and challenging in equal parts—they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Exclusive Interview with Kele Moon

1.     Any future plans you're willing to share?

Just writing, writing, writing. . . So much writing. I’m very geared towards the Untamed Hearts books, but I also have another project I’m working on with a friend of mine that’s fun too! A little lighter than the intensity of mafia romance! Sometimes I need a break.

2.     Where do you look for inspiration?

WOW! I never look for inspiration. . .It finds me. Day and night. It never leaves me alone. Not that I’m complaining, but I’m not one of those authors who’s never short on inspiration. Time, yes. . . Not inspiration. . .

3.     Favorite Character?

Probably Nova. . . He always writes himself and any time he’s in a scene I enjoy writing it a little more. He’s a great character to write. Probably my favorite I’ve written ever.

That being said. . .I do love Tino very much, so much he almost gives Nova a run for his money because Tino’s the underdog. A very badass, deadly underdog, but still an underdog and I love to root for the underdog! He’s also the kindest killer I’ll likely ever write and that makes him very special in the bizarre world of mafia romance.

TONI
I could never ever do this book justice with my review. The Enforcer is definitely the best I've read this year, maybe the best in years. I don't know when I have ever been so hung over. I'm devastated that I reached the end of the novel. I'd give a great deal to be able to unread it and read it for the first time again, and I will absolutely be rereading this story. Those pitiful and strong Moretti boys totally owned my heart while I devoured the pages, and they still own it.

Children born to mistresses of made men are considered lower than dirt. After the death of their mother, Nova and Tino fall under the care of their big brother Romeo. Life isn't wonderful, but the three of them are managing to scrape by and maintain a loving home. Everything changes when their father learns that Nova is a genius. Fourteen-year-old Nova becomes their father's yes-man because he uses twelve-year-old Tino as his whipping boy in order to make Nova toe the line.

Tino is the sweetest, most beautiful person. He tries to always please others and make them feel good about themselves despite the horrible reality of much of his life. He is physically, emotionally and sexually abused. He's forced to deal and murder. Despite all of this, he never looses his loving nature.

This story is running over with feelings. It has loads of sadness topped with epically endearing moments. There's plenty of humor and cuteness, and of course it has the sexy and romantic covered. The Enforcer has it all. Readers get to know the boys and the men. Oh, my heart, this truly, truly is a must read.

Also, I think the author really did her homework on the ins and outs of organized crime. It really makes everything more interesting.

5 "Lost Boys Gotta Fly" Stars

This book was quite the journey for me.  I've wanted to know more about the Moretti brothers, Tino and Nova, since we've first met them.  You just know from the bits you get from previous books that their road hasn't been an easy one.
Tino and Bri are featured in this book, but we also get a lot from Carina, Nova and Carlo, and a little bit of Romeo.  The circumstances that Tino had to endure broke my heart.  I liked that Bri was a constant positive point in his life, even as he tries to protect her by pushing her away.  If Tino has a fault, it would be his loyalty and willingness to do what he has to do protect those he loves; even then, it's a beautiful fault to have.

This books up where The Slayer left off, with Bri and Carina locating Tino at Chuy and Alaine's wedding reception.  We get a short reunion of Bri and Tino, at which point were taken back to the life altering changes for Tino and Nova.  This story evolved with so much depth.  The story of how life changed both Tino and Nova was quite pivotal to understanding them better.  I liked seeing Tino's friendship with both Carina and Bri; and then the development of Tino and Bri's relationship.
While the story isn't complete because Tino's story is continued in the next book, it leaves off in a good place.  I can't wait to see how Kele Moon gets Tino to the other side of the board.

Shanda's Review

**5 "Lost Boy" Stars**

Yeesh, I don’t even know how to do justice in a review of The Enforcer but I will try. I am a long time Kele Moon fan but I have to say this book is her best yet. I don’t know how she is going to top it but I know she will. It takes talent to write a good mafia story, especially in the romance genre. It’s a dark and dirty world, and you need someone that can bring grit to it so it doesn’t come off as a fluff piece, Ms. Moon definitely achieved this.

The Enforcer is Tino Moretti’s story and it is truly a tale of sacrifice and survival. It is also the origin story of Tino, Nova, and Romeo; how they came to be and how Tino found love with Brianna. I think at it's core The Enforcer is a story about family and loyalty. The bond between, Tino, Nova, Brianna, Carina, and Carlo was beautifully told.

This actually took me about a week to read because I had to put it down a few times. You know Tino is the jokester and life of the party but I wasn’t prepared for the pain underneath it all. Tino is such a sweet soul and I didn’t expect the depravity he lived through, it really gutted me. I adored Brianna, she was fearless and her unwavering love for Tino was beautiful. Tino didn't feel he deserved this love, but he does, and I am so anxious for him to get his HEA.

Never forget that. You take from whores. Use them. Don't love them"
"Why?"
"'Cause they're love starved. They've been hurt and beaten for so fucking long they are desperate for kindness. Love them, really love them, and they'll die for you. They'll bleed for you.

Another big standout for me was Carina; I want to be her when I grow up. She was hilarious, fearless, and strong. That girl is one serious badass and her devotion to Tino was amazing. I would love to learn more about Carina down the line.

Don’t hesitate to read The Enforcer because you are worried about a cliffy. The Enforcer ended in excellent spot. Not to say that I don’t want part II now but I am satisfied with where The Enforcer ended. Tino’s story really did require two parts; there was so much to be told about the Moretti’s. Ms. Moon leaves no stone unturned, every line is important, and it makes for a rich and meaty story.

A thief.
An addict.
A murderer.

Now his past is churning up demons he can’t ignore. Chuito knows he needs to go back to Miami to end it, but there's something holding him back, a single temptation he can't resist before leaving.

Alaine.

She’s the one drug he can’t give up…even if it destroys them both.
