Synopsis

Hollywood royalty Jeremy Jameson has lived a sheltered life with music as his sole focus and only friend. Accountant slash bartender slash adventure-seeker Reg Moore has fun talking and drinking with The Jeremy Jameson and can’t say no when the supposedly straight rock star makes him a once in a lifetime offer: keep him company on his tour by playing the part of his boyfriend.

Listening to music, traveling the world, and jumping off cliffs is fun. Falling in love is even better. But to stay with Jeremy after the stage lights dim, Reg will need to help him realize there’s nothing pretend about their relationship.

Author Bio

Cardeno C. - CC to friends - is a hopeless romantic who wants to add a lot of happiness and a few "awwws" into a reader's day. Writing is a nice break from real life as a corporate type and volunteer work with gay rights organizations. Cardeno's stories range from sweet to intense, contemporary to paranormal, long to short, but they always include strong relationships and walks into the happily-ever-after sunset.

Cardeno's Home, Family, and Mates series have received awards from Love Romances and More Golden Roses, Rainbow Awards, the Goodreads M/Romance Group, and various reviewers. But even more special to CC are heartfelt reactions from readers, like, "You bring joy and love and make it part of the every day."

Reviews

While I don’t necessarily believe in insta-love, I do believe in clicking with someone from the very beginning. And that is exactly what happens to the main character of Perfect Imperfections.

A chance meeting in a bar changed Reg Moore’s simple life. He got the offer of his life and to live out a dream he had for a long time, that to travel and see the world. Rock star Jeremy Jameson could offer this to him. But neither of them thought it would end up being more.

Jeremy only wanted a companion for the trip, someone to be his friend and be honest with him, not fake and pretend to like him and be with him only to gain something. He also didn’t know Reg was gay but it seemed like a good idea to say he was his boyfriend.

I liked the story, liked the main characters. Reg was the only person that could ground Jeremy, especially when he was having one of his tantrums. Reg was the only one true to Jeremy and was blunt about everything. Jeremy grew up not being loved, that’s the simple and honest truth. With a famous actress as a mother and a rock star as a father, people always expected things of him and from him; people were always telling him what to do and how to live his life. I liked how it wasn’t in an instant that he knew he was gay. It took him a while, it was gradual but it wasn’t hard to get close to and warm up to Reg.
I found myself smiling or chuckling while reading. There was no major drama – thank God, the story wasn’t drawn out and the end was nothing less than I expected. It was actually awww and the proposal took me by surprise.

Four stars and I recommend it gladly to any M/M lover.

I was asked to read this for a review from the author, and who am i to say no to m/m??
I'm an m/m whore so off I went...

I will say I had trouble wrapping my head around the beginning of this book. It seemed things were happening so fast. I will say though, that my head was in a dark place. Upon further reading, I completely fell in love with Reggie Moore. He is such a calm, sweet, & funny character...how could you not fall in love??

Jeremy is such a wound up guy, so involved in his work that it doesn't take much to stress him out, but with Reg's patience and calm, it helps him find that balance... and himself.

This is such a sweet HEA and I think I needed that ending to get out of my dark cloud. So thank you CC for letting me read such a sweet and funny story!!

4 stars for me

This is a fun read. Jeremy and Reg are both good guys, easy to like.

Jeremy has been famous because of his Hollywood pedigree his whole life. He's practically royalty—his illustrious grandfather, his legendary father, his celebrated mother. Not only would he have been a celebrity by just being alive, he's now notable as one of the best musicians of his time. He has no experience with real life, and he has never had a real friend. Being with him is just a status symbol. No one treats him like a real person until he meets Reg.
"You're a cool dude, Jeremy Jameson," Reg said, looking at his gorgeous guest. "You shouldn't have to pretend about anything, least of all having someone in your life who actually wants to be with you."

Even though Jeremy's never had a boyfriend, he talks Reg into coming on tour with him as a fake boyfriend so that they can always be together. It's actually kinda sad to think about how starved for friendly contact Jeremy truly was. Reg starts to take over a position of protecting Jeremy from those that don't have his best interest at heart and pushing Jeremy to do better in certain areas of his life. It doesn't take long for Reg to fall for Jeremy, and not long after that for him to realize that Jeremy is gay also but hasn't come to terms with it yet.
"You want me to hold you?"
Sighing in relief, Jeremy nodded. "You don't have to. I know it's weird and—"
"No, it isn't," Reg assured him. "Everyone needs to be touched." He cupped Jeremy's cheek. "You more than most, I think. But that's a good thing, not a weird thing."

The way their relationship progresses is so sweet. Reg is so strong and patient with Jeremy. Jeremy is in aww of his life after Reg comes into it. It's like he was living in black & white, and now everything is in color. I loved experiencing everything new with Jeremy. It was a very big turn on.

For anyone that likes M/M, I recommend this book.
