Blaire’s epic love story concludes in Sweetest Venom
by Mia Asher!

I fell in love with a lie …
She was beauty and destruction.
Kissing her was a tender song.
Fucking her, a wild poem.
Loving her, my downfall.
But she was mine.
Or so I thought.

I told her I wanted her body
and not her love.
I lied.

One man offered me his love.
The other, the world.
I'm falling, falling, falling …
And there's no end in sight.

He watches me closely. His gaze, sparkling with lust, roves over my figure.
“Like what you see?” I tease.
“Not sure. Why don’t you come a little closer so I can take a better look?”
“Oh yeah?” I get on the bed and crawl toward him, taking my time as I close the space between us. I straddle his lap, rocking my pussy on his cock. “Well, what’s the verdict?”
“Let’s see …” he grabs me by the hips, his long fingers gripping my ass firmly, and pulls me forward until I’m kneeling over his face. I reach for the headboard for support and look down as my breathing accelerates.
“Perfect,” he says, his voice as thick as smoke. Smiling sinfully, his eyes are on me when his fingers spread my folds apart and his thumb begins to rub me in small circles.  “Fucking perfect.”
He plays my body like a damn maestro. I bite down hard on my lower lip the moment he drags his tongue along my soaked pussy. He breathes me in, his hot breath caressing my thighs as his hands move me against his eager mouth.
“And so damn sweet.”

During the time I was reading this book I told some friends I feel like I could write two separate reviews on this one. Honest to god, it’s a good thing I live in a padded room otherwise my Kindle would’ve been shattered when I threw it against the wall. Yes, there were THAT many ups and downs!

I’ll be honest. At somewhere around 20% into this I was thinking there’s no way I’m gunna like this book as much as Easy Virtue. I just didn’t like the flow of it. But I powered on because I needed answers to so many questions. In this story we see much more of Lawrence the man. Not just Lawrence the successful businessman who pays ridiculous amounts of money for sex when it fits his schedule. I liked that the author showed us this side of him. He became much more real. Then there’s Blaire. Man I hate that bitch. But she is totally my idol! After reading this book I’ve decided she falls into the category of one of the strongest female characters I’ve ever read.

There’s so much I want to say here, but I don’t want to give away any spoilers. I can say this though. It was an emotionally stirring book. For me at least. I felt frustrated, heart-broken and pissed as hell at many points. I guess that’s some of the signs of a good book. I’m giving it 4 ½ stars.

On a side note … I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review. And, Lawrence. I love you, baby. Call me.

The sequel we've all been waiting for! Did Asher pull it off? Yes she did. Was it perfect? No, but who cares.

Blaire and Ronan are back in full force hating each other, denying their love, hurting each other, and making mistakes. It was the 'pull up a chair with your bucket o' popcorn' kind of drama. But Asher knew when enough was enough. She kept this story concise. Which I appreciated. It was a pleasure to read. It just had this ease.

I liked the lesson Ronan learned. He found out for himself how easy it is to fall down that rabbit hole. It made him less judgmental and helped him let go of the bitterness.

Blaire had a decision to make. Her growth felt organic. She finally started to feel the ramifications of her actions and she didn't like it.

I thought the ending left a lot to be desired but, overall, the story was nicely done and worth the wait. I liked it a lot.
