The best way to keep your word is never to give it.

Not long ago, in a chapel in Vegas, I swore to love Karissa for the rest of my days. But nobody's promised an infinite number of tomorrows. Nobody's promised forever. Sometimes, all we have left is today.

Carpe Diem
Seize the day.

It should've been over, we should've been happy, but people are making it hard for me to live in peace. I've got so much blood on my hands they'll never be clean, and somebody out there seems to want me to pay for it. Happily Ever After always comes at a cost, one any real man would be willing to pay. But that doesn't mean I'm just going to roll over and accept these consequences.

Because when it comes to the woman I love? The life I've fought for?

Nobody is safe.

SHANDA'S 5 STAR REVIEW

Target on Our Backs was a pretty great surprise for 2016. I didn’t think I needed another book about Naz and Karissa. But I was wrong in thinking that; it was great to get back to this couple. I loved the dual POV so we could get in both their heads.

Naz is trying to lead a different life now. He is out, well as out as he can be. Unfortunately certain players don’t want to let Naz completely out of the life. Naz has a target on his back and of course Karissa could get caught in the crosshairs. But Naz hasn’t forgotten how to protect what’s his, and he is determined to eliminate the threat so they can live a somewhat normal life.

Karissa is currently flailing a bit. The one thing she is certain of is her love for Naz. To some extent she is unhappy; she is trying to decide what to major in, and trying to live a normal life. I think she is just a bit lost because she doesn’t know what direction to take her life; her only certainty is that Naz will be in it no matter what. I have to say one of my favorite things about this book was the banter between Naz and Karissa. They were lighter and more at ease with each other. They were playful, funny, and smoking HOT!!

I laughed quite a bit in this one because of you got to see a different side of Naz. Hotline Bling and Naz watching The Godfather were just a few of the funny moments. I really liked his interaction with Lorenzo as well. Lorenzo had me cracking up in most of his scenes.

“I look at him incredulously. "You've got a grenade." A grenade. He's carrying a fucking grenade.”- Naz

"So I've been told," Lorenzo says. “Word around town is you're a bit of a dick-tator.”- Lorenzo to Genova

This is a fabulous read if you are anxious to catch up with this couple and get your Ignazio Vitale fix. This story didn’t have too much in the way of shocking moments but it was still riveting. Naz does pull off a really bad ass moment towards the end and I freaking loved it.

Well Done!!!

IZA'S 5 STAR REVIEW

"I'll always come for you," I tell her. "The fucking devil himself couldn't stop me."

Kaput. I am ruined. I adored Naz Vitale in book 1 & 2, but he totally blew me away in this one. Yes, he's changed a bit. He's different. He wanted to be better for Karissa. We all know what went down in book 2; there were bound to be some consequences.

Well, the title suggest a far more action-packed plot. My nails suffered because of it.

"Places to go.

People to see.

Blood to spill.

You know how it is."

So many things happen in this one! I loved that we got both characters' POVs. This way, we could be in both of their heads to see what they thought and felt during certain scenes.

"Naz is the kind of guy that, once he walks into your world, he throws it off its axis, so even if he walks back out, nothing spins the same anymore."

He's an absolute fave that will never get taken off my list. Ever. This book is one of the best I've read this year. The way he is with Karissa... And yes, Karissa also rocks. I've liked her from book 1.

"The man is an enigma. A beautiful, sometimes terrifying puzzle that I'm still piecing together, little by little."

Needless to say, I LOVED it! That epilogue, I can't even! J.M. Darhower can really write an anti-hero like no other. 5 stars. It is a book that shall be reread many times. I want to thank the author, from the bottom of my wicked heart, for the copy given in exchange for my honest review.
