I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.

This is a funny and cute rom-com; something that will make you laugh and cringe - depending on the scene. Let's just say, our heroine hasn't had the best of luck, while pursuing her dream.
Of course that sort of changes when she meets Julian Lefray. This character really does have a certain allure; R.S. Grey wrote him well.
I just had a few hang-ups with Jo sometimes; this I-want-you-I-can't-have-you thing she was doing was giving me whiplash and it was also a little bit annoying.
I have to say, judging by the ending, there will be more - different couple, no worries - and I'm going to read that one too.
While it wasn't that deep, what I did like was that the author didn't sugarcoat facts; it's not always that easy to make it big, while being alone in a big city.
3.75 - 4-ish stars.
