SYNOPSIS

Kira Dallaire is desperate.

Grayson Hawthorn is losing hope.

Some obstacles in life seem too hard to overcome. Betrayal definitely being one of them. With limited capital, and dwindling resources, he is attempting to resurrect his failing family vineyard, a self-imposed vow seemingly destined to fail. That is until a young woman enters his office with an outlandish, unexpected proposition impossible to refuse.

What begins as a temporary business arrangement, soon evolves into more as vivacious, spirited Kira challenges detached, arrogant Grayson to want more from life. To want more for himself. But as their wills clash and fiery passion ignites, they'll realize that sometimes the past creates walls too difficult to climb, and that lies and deception rarely precede a happily every after.

As Kira and Grayson race toward their destiny, they will discover that some vows are meant to be broken, and others are worth risking everything for . . . even your very own heart.

THIS IS A STANDALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY LIBRA. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

REVIEW

5 STARS

This is the story of Kira (Witch) and Grayson (Dragon) two people that deserved to be loved but never received it. The references to castles, witches, and dragons are kind of enchanting and made this feel like a fairytale. You will just have to read it to see what I mean but I loved it. It is ultimately the story of broken things that need restoration. Two people that craved love and acceptance and a vineyard that is dying.

Grayson is a man losing all hope, desperate to save his dead father’s winery out of his need to prove he is worthy and to make his father proud.

Kira is a woman also at the end of her rope in a way. Desperate to make it on her own and get out from under the rule of her father.

Kira discovers Grayson needs money to fund the vineyard and keep it going. Kira has access to money but only if she gets married. As you can guess they strike a deal, marriage for one year in exchange for splitting of the funds.

Grayson and Kira instantly dislike each other and misjudge one another. Grayson thinks Kira is a spoiled princess but comes to find out she is a caring, hardworking, sassy, and playful soul. Kira thinks Grayson is a fire breathing dragon but finds that deep down he is a lost boy who is afraid of love. Love/Hate stories are some of my favorites to read and this did not disappoint. They are actually selfless people underneath it all and I loved the way we got to see all of this in their actions.

As with all Mia Sheridan books she writes a fabulous story surrounding a broken boy. I found Grayson to be more jaded, and not as sweet as her other heroes, but I still loved him. He made me cringe a few times when he lashed out but he reminded me of a wounded animal. As I expected Mia always makes me cry with these scenes. Reading about Grayson and the love that was withheld from him gutted me. The book flowed beautifully and it was sad but hopeful as all her stories are. The side characters were all wonderful and endearing. The epilogue was fabulous; it is always great to get a glimpse of the future for the couple and I am greedy and wanted more.

Well done! I can’t wait to see what’s next.
