Review Fall With Me by Jennifer L Armentrout

Title: Fall With Me
Author: Jennifer L Armentrout/J. Lynn
Series: Wait For You
Release Date: March 31st 2015

Synopsis

Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.

Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

I am slowly, but surely, making my way through JLA's books and I have to say, I am never disappointed by her. Whether it's PNR or contemporary, YA or adult, she knows how to pull me into the story and keep me curious and interested. And makes me angry when I have to put the book down due to real life and stuff.

I've read the first book in this series, and while there are characters from the ones I haven't read, I was never lost or confused.

Reece is absolutely perfect, demons or not. We all have them and he's been through a lot but he overcame some things, while was working on overcoming the ones he hadn't. But he never gave up.

There were times when Roxy was frustrating but I understood her too. We all have our fears of something, and her fear of losing, once again, a person she loved kept her from doing the things she wanted or pursuing them.

I think, out of all these characters - besides Reece, of course - I loved Katie the most. The stripper with the psychic powers *snort* She's just so funny but she never once lied about her 'prophecies'.

This book not only has love, humor and friendship - not to mention both sad and hot scenes - but it also has some mystery, some angst. Not much, but the perfect amount of it.

Needless to say, I will keep on reading other books by JLA and look into the others in this series. Not to mention, I'm really curious about the next one!

5 stars.
