Review Cream of the Crop, The Hudson Valley series by Alice Clayton

Title: Cream of the Crop
Author: Alice Clayton
Series: The Hudson Valley
Release Date: July 12th 2016

Synopsis

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton brings her trademark blend of funny and sexy to this second contemporary romance in the brand-new Hudson Valley series!

Manhattan’s It Girl, Natalie Grayson, has it all: she’s a hot exec at a leading advertising firm, known industry-wide for her challenging and edgy campaigns. She’s got a large circle of friends, a family that loves her dearly, and her dance card is always full with handsome eligible bachelors. What else could a modern gal-about-town wish for? The answer, of course, is...cheese.

Natalie’s favorite part of each week is spending Saturday morning at the Union Square Farmer’s Market, where she indulges her love of all things triple cream. Her favorite booth also indulges her love of all things handsome. Oscar Mendoza, owner of the Bailey Falls Creamery and purveyor of the finest artisanal cheeses the Hudson Valley has to offer, is tall, dark, mysterious, and a bit oblivious. Or so she thinks. But that doesn’t stop Natalie from fantasizing about the size of his, ahem, milk can.

Romance is churning, passion is burning, and something incredible is rising to the top. Could it be...love?

Review by Iza

For the love of all that is holy, I need an Oscar!

But first, let me tell you about this book. We all know Alice Clayton's style. She's funny, her books bound to make you laugh a lot. But you see, Cream of the Crop is slightly different. At least, I felt it was.
Yes, it was still funny but it had more feels to it; it's more than just a rom-com. Again, for me.
Why, you may think. Well, you have the heroine, Natalie, who's a size 18 gorgeous woman that really doesn't care what anyone says or thinks. She's confident, she knows what she wants and she gets it. She has a successful career and a good sex life. All's well. But there's one tiny thing that disturbs all this balance in her life: dairy products. And the man who makes 'em.
Which brings me back to Oscar Mendoza, whom I fell for so hard, I can't stop grinning whenever I think of him. He's perfect! He's big, bearded and grumpy, but oh-so-yummy and man, can he make a girl feel like a goddess!
But I won't tell you more, hopefully it makes you curious to grab it and read it. Why? Because it's pure awesomeness, you're bound to love the story. Plus, no matter the shape or size of a woman, this book will make you feel better about yourself, believe me. Positive message and all that.
5 brilliant stars, absolutely in love with both the book and Oscar, and I want to thank the publishers for the copy given in exchange for my honest review.

Author Bio

ALICE CLAYTON worked in the cosmetics industry for over a decade before picking up a pen (read laptop).

She enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up, and finally convinced her long-time boyfriend to marry her.

Now, about that Bernese Mountain dog.
