Review Melody Bitterswet The Girls' Ghostbusting Agency by Kitty French

Title: Melody Bittersweet and the Girls' Ghostbusting Agency
Author: Kitty French
Series: Girls' Ghostbusting Agency
Release Date: July 14th 2016

Life’s tough for Melody Bittersweet.

She’s single, addicted to sugar and super heroes, her family are officially bonkers, and she sees dead people. Is it any wonder no-one’s swiping right on Tinder?
Waking up lonely on her twenty seventh birthday, Melody finally snaps. She can’t carry on basing all of her life decisions on the advice of her magic 8 ball; things have got to change.

Fast forward two months, and she’s now the proud proprietor of her very own ghostbusting agency - kind of like in the movies but without the dodgy white jumpsuits. She’s also flirting with her ex Leo Dark, fraternising with her enemy in alleyways, and she’s somehow ended up with a pug called Lestat.

Life just went from dull to dynamite and it’s showing no sign of slowing up anytime soon. Melody’s been hired to clear Scarborough House of its incumbent ghosts, there’s the small matter of a murder to solve, and then there’s the two very handsome, totally inappropriate men hoping to distract her from the job…

Welcome to Chapelwick, home of the brand new and hilarious Girls Ghostbusting Agency series, where things really do go bump in the night.

Review by Iza

Kitty French does it again! I went into this book, expecting to laugh a lot. I did. But there's more to this book than just laughing.

You see, our heroine, Melody can see dead people. It's in the family, as a matter of fact. It's the family business. Her mom sees dead people, her grandmother sees dead people - by the way, the grandmother cracked me up like crazy!

But Melody feels she's not doing the right thing, the right job; that she's not doing right by the ghosts. She wants more. So, along with her best friend, she opens up her own business. She doesn't expect to land her first job so fast, but given the circumstances - you'll have to read the book, see what those are - she is in and she needs to "get rid" of certain ghosts that won't leave a mansion that the owner wants to sell.

Kitty writes the best side characters. They add a certain something to the story, it wouldn't be the same without them. Plus, our heroine has her hands full with ghosts, solving a mystery - this part gave me so many feels, I even cried - and two hot guys. I'm rooting for Fletch, though and I really can't wait for more!

"I don't want casual sex." The words slide into the night air, and in reply he lifts my shirt and bares my breasts.
"I'm not asking you for casual sex," he says, catching his lips between his teeth in almost pained pleasure as he looks intently at my body. His eyes say I yearn for you, and his mouth says, "I'm asking you for intense, uncontrolled, filthy sex. The kind of sex you have once and then spend the rest of your life getting over."
Could anyone in the world refuse that? Why would they? He's just morphed into a potty-mouthed Mr. Darcy, and I've always been a sucker for Jane Austen."

So yes, I loved the book and am giving it 5 stars. I also want to thank the publisher for the copy given in exchange for my honest review.
