**Warning** This book is intended for a mature reading**

"Alpha heroes you'll want to kidnap and keep, heroines to root for, and sizzling love scenes with emotional punch." Carly Phillips, NY Times Bestselling Author

Greg Cage was born to protect. While growing up, he was his mother and sister’s shield against the world… until he failed. For the last decade, he has carried that guilt and need for vengeance around… until it was stripped from him. Now, with his best friend getting married and no longer needing his protection, he is even more lost, completely adrift, and desperate for some control. All he has ever known was how to protect: his family, his friends, and his country. Can he go against everything he has ever known, and give up that control?

Melissa Larson will never let anyone hold the reins in her life. She has been the rock in her family for more years than she can remember, and the fight to keep them together is her main priority right now. She has always been fiercely independent and proud. The last thing she will ever do is ask for someone else’s help. But when that choice is out of her control, forcing her to rely on others to save her and her family, and pick up the pieces that are left, will she be able to let someone else be her strength?

The second Greg locks eyes with Meli, he knows that she is someone he needs. Someone he craves. Meli knew the second she met Greg that he would be nothing but trouble and heartache. Her life takes an unexpected turn, and that bitch Fate is back to wreak more havoc on another member of the Corps family.

All hell breaks loose, leaving Greg no choice but to call in a favor. He hooks back up with his old friend Braxxon Breaker from the Breakneck MC. Together, they make sure that nothing threatens anyone Greg loves again.

CAGE is a complete story with a HEA.

She did it again!

Cage is just as good as - if not better than - Axel!

First off, Cage. Wow. He's the one friend every girl should have. He's loyal and caring and a good babysitter. He's also a badass that could take care of anything.
He had been there for Izzy in AXEL. He took her away from her abusing ex-husband and together with Dee, managed to get her back on track. He's capable of kicking Axel's ass for hurting Izzy. He takes care of Nathaniel, Izzy's and Axel's son. After meeting Melissa, he's willing to do anything for her.

Melissa. She's the kind of girl that I'd like to sit down and have a drink with. Seriously. She plays hard to get with Cage but it's not just for the heck of it. She has her nasty past and valid reasons of being afraid to fall for a guy and totally surrender to him because well, good female role models? Not really. She fits in right with the girls.

The girls. Well. I LOVE how we get glimpses of Axel and Izzy. Their wedding then honeymoon. Dee and Beck. Wow, those two will have the stormiest and most passionate relationship out of them all, I think. Can't wait to see what Dee was thinking, really because Beck's a nice guy.

But who I'm really interested in is Maddox. Yeah, Mr. Locke with sweet - okay, not so sweet - Emmy. I liked the dynamic between them. If in AXEL we saw Emmy pine and mope because Maddox was always with other women - bastard - and didn't pay her any attention, things changed a lot in CAGE. The roles are reversed and Emmy grew some lady balls and decided to not give a damn about him anymore. Which led to Mr. Locke getting pissed.

Sway is THE SHIT, I swear! With him throwing glitter at the guys, he should become a regular in the series.

Coop? No, I didn't forget Coop. But he's well, still not settled, still a ladies' man and I can't wait to see what's in store for him.

Because oh, how the mighty will fall!

Roller-coaster ride. That's what this book was for me. Just like AXEL. It was sweet then funny then oh shit then damn it then phew then aw then nooooo. I think you get the picture.

Crystal Spear's Braxxon makes a special appearance and honestly, I would have loved to read more about the wild days those two had spent.

All in all, that's pretty much it. Harper Sloan is definitely among the few to have her paperbacks in my library.
